Academy Sports + Outdoors and Capital One Bank present the Bayou Lafourche Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana’s annual membership banquet on Wednesday, November 30, at the Nicholls State University Cotillion Ballroom in Thibodaux.
Festivities begin with an open bar and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m. and the live auction begins 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are $60 per person, which includes a one-year membership in CCA, admission, dinner and open bar. The evening will feature a live auction for some of the finest hunting and fishing trips in Louisiana as well as around the world.
This CCA event will be an evening of family fun. Fishermen and fisherwomen are encouraged to bring the whole family. Special priced spouse/associate tickets available for $30 and youth tickets (17 & under) are only $25.

December 1st
The Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce will host its quarterly breakfast meeting, “Rise & Shine With the Chamber,” on Thursday, December 1. The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Carmel Inn in Thibodaux.
The guest speaker will be Mark Kearns of Infinite Success. He will be discussing how to move your business on-line and make it a success. He will also talk about four crucial steps you need to take to avoid on-line disasters.

December 3rd & 4th
Thibodaux ChristmasFest will be celebrated on December 3 and 4th, 2011. The event will begin on Saturday with a Christmas edition of the Farmer’s Market at the Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. Downtown retailers will hold Mistletoe Madness on Saturday and Sunday.
The annual Christmas parade will be held on Sunday, December 4, with kick off from the John L. Guidry Stadium at Nicholls State University at 4:00 p.m. Please note that there is a new parade route this year. It will travel north on Audubon Avenue, turn left on Menard, it will then cross Canal Blvd. and continue on to West 5th Street. The parade will disband at the Dansereau House on the corner of West 5th Street and St. Philip Street.
Festivities at the Dansereau House will include the annual lighting of the home, Christmas caroling, and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause (please bring your own cameras). The festivities will also include winter snow for all to enjoy. Refreshments will be available, compliments of Thibodaux Family Church.
